SUBOTICA 2HB + BELGRADE 2HB + ZLATIBOR 2HB
DAY 1: S U B O T I C A
- Arrival to Belgrade Airport “Nikola Tesla” and welcome by Travel Time Greek speaking professional guide.
- Departure from the airport to Vojvodina and a beautiful city of Subotica with 1 stop for rest, coffee and meal in some of many beautiful ethno restaurants near Novi Sad.
- Upon arrival to Subotica, a city tour with a visit to City Hall, the largest and one of the most beautiful buildings in Subotica, a cultural monument of exceptional importance.
- After city tour check in to a beautiful 4*hotel. Free time for exploring Subotica city center until the time for dinner in the hotel.
DAY 2: S U B O T I C A
Subotica – Kelebija – Palić - Subotica
- After breakfast and morning coffee, we depart from the hotel and go to one of the most famous horse stables of the area – Kelebija, where we will see impressive horse breed Lipizzaner and visit Carriage Museum. Upon your wishes, you can enjoy horse riding or a carriage ride.
- Continuation to famous Zvonko Bogdan winery. Wine tasting before we continue our way to a nearby Palić Lake, the only remained part of ancient Pannonian Sea according to one of local legends. Free time before we go back to our hotel in Subotica, where we will have dinner.
DAY 3: B E L G R A D E
Subotica – Novi Sad – Petrovaradin – Sremski Karlovci – Beograd
- After breakfast and coffee, we check out from the hotel and continue our journey from Subotica to Novi Sad.
- City tour upon arrival to Novi Sad with the following highlights: the City Hall, Cathedral, Liberty Square, pedestrian zone of Zmaj Jovina street...
- Visit of Petrovaradin Fortress, a significant military fort of the Austrian rulers and today art center of Novi Sad, a home to Exit festival and place which mysterious underground keeps intriguing explorers from all around the world.
- Departure from Petrovaradin to Sremski Karlovci, a cultural, educational and spiritual center. Walk along the beautiful baroque center of Sremski Karlovci: the Patriarchal Residence, the Saint Nicholas Church, the Gymnasium, the Four Lions Fountain…
- Departure to Serbian capital Belgrade where we will have dinner in hotel.
DAY 4: B E L G R A D E
- Beginning of the panoramic city tour in the morning. We start with the Old City quarter and continue with the Republic Square with a view of the National Theatre and the National Museum, pass by the brand new Monument of Stefan Nemanja, founder of one of the most important Serbian dinasties and after that enter the new modern part of the city – New Belgrade across Old Sava Bridge built in the WWII, with passing by one of the biggest parks in Belgrade – Ušće, Palace of Serbia and Štark Arena Sports Hall, the biggest sports hall in Serbia.
- By crossing the new Ada Bridge we return to the old city part from with a view of a beautiful Ada Lake and the oldest park Topčider with the House of King Miloš Obrenović and the oldest Belgrade church – Church of Peter and Paul. Continue to the eternal house of former Yougoslav president Tito named the House of Flowers with pass by two most famous football stadiums (Red Star and Partizan) in Belgrade placed on opposite sides of Topčider Hill to reach the huge St. Sava Church where we will see the main church and the crypt of one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world, the eternal home of the last Serbian Patriarch. This monumental edition is one of the main symbols of Belgrade and Serbia.
- After the short break for refreshment and coffee we continue with the panoramic view passing by Slavija Square with the new fountain, Old Military Headquarters, the Parliament and the City Hall and finish with a visit to Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park where you will see places like the Victor Monument, the Nebojša Tower and enjoy the beautiful confluence of the Sava and the Danube River.
- Lunch in the hotel upon the city tour.
- Evening free time for optional leisure and a dinner in Skadarlija Street, one of the most famous Belgrade pedestrian zones.
DAY 5: Z L A T I B O R
Beograd – Topola – Rudnik – Zlatibor
- Upon breakfast and morning coffee, we check out from the hotel and depart to Topola with its Royal complex Оplenac, the epicenter of the first Serbian Rebellion against Ottomans 200 years ago with Vožd Karađorđe in the main role. Our visit to the house/museum of King Petar I and mausoleum, the church and the winery.
- We continue by bus to nearby Rudnik where we will stop for coffee, refreshment and optional lunch in a local restaurant with a very nice view of the surrounding area.
- Mount Zlatibor we reach in the afternoon hours. After check in to a centrally located 4* hotel, free time for getting familiar with Zlatibor until dinner in the hotel.
DAY 6: Z L A T I B O R
Zlatibor – Šargan 8 – Drvengrad – Zlatibor
- After breakfast, we go to Šarganska osmica, (The Šargan Eight), a narrow-gauge heritage railway in Serbia, running through the beautiful landscapes of Tara mountain, with national music while traveling and stops for enjoying the surrounding nature.
- Leaving Šargan we continue by bus, we go to Drvengrad (Timber Town), also known as Kustendorf and Mećavnik, a traditional village that the Serbian film director Emir Kusturica built for his film Life Is a Miracle. Walk the streets of Ernesto Che Guevarra, Diego Maradona and Novak Đoković and try domestic cookies and juices or have an optional lunch in restaurant Lotika or a cup of domestic coffee in the same café that hosted world celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Monica Bellucci, Nikita Mihalkov, Gael Garcia Bernal and many others by the time we go back to Zlatibor.
- Return to Zlatibor in the afternoon hours. Dinner in the hotel.
DAY 7: B E L G R A D E
Zlatibor – Ovčar banja – Beograd
- After breakfast, free time and check out, departure to Ovčar banja (Ovčar Spa) and visit of Blagoveštenje Monastery. Upon visit, free time for refreshment, coffee and optional lunch in the fabulous atmosphere of the local restaurant with a view to an old suspension pedestrian bridge above West Morava river.
- We continue our journey to Belgrade with visit to Ušće, one of the biggest shopping malls in Belgrade, where you will have free time for shopping in some of the most famous world brand stores within the mall.
- For the end of our tour, bus transfer to Belgrade airport “Nikola Tesla”.
